Tim, actually, I kinda agree with you. I'm not convinced that the incremental performance on the M5 is with the incremental dollars. Of course, I'd love to have an M5, but with the current costs and availability, my 540 is just fine!

(OBTW, I had it on a dynamometer on Sunday. Based on the results, I think our Bavarian friends are a little conservative with their HP and torque numbers. OH MY!!)

Don't be so modest about your car, Mitch. I have to be honest with you Mitch, I like the 5 Series/ M5 (except the wagons of course) better than the Z8 . Why? Because it costs signifagantly less, is more comfortable, more practical, more attractive with considerably better ergonomics.
