I am looking for components necessary to trunk install an Alpine CHM-S601 cd changer that I already own in the 530i that I have on order. I understand that I need some sort of wiring interface din plug to match this unit up with BMW's trunk prewiring. Does the standard mounting bracket that comes with the Alpine work in the BMW location in the side panel of the trunk?
I am also in need of info on options for cellphone installation. How does the BMW phone interface with the car radio, steering wheel controls as well as speakers. Does the system work well? It seems that the location in the center arm rest isnt real convienient or visible for dialing or caller id. what about voice activation? Can anyone suggest a site that describes how the BMW phone system works.
thanks in advance for your help
