you get more H/W(injectors,etc.) w/ Dinan. The R&D time spent on developing this kit properly is built in as well. It's very much a marketing and business case than it is a perf. product that has just been introduced to a new market. The demand is there w/ Dinan and the 'craftsmanship' involved in making this 8PSI SC a power adder rather than an engine killer or a motor grenade allows people to justify the price. Every purchase can be realistically justified...as long as the consumer is fully satisfied w/ their commitment. Another thing is that I bet the R&D crew made acouple of 'fatal' or 'disastrous' mistakes while tuning and had some costly repairs to append.

If your not breaking parts....you are not making power!

I've not converted to a Dinan Defender but just adding some of my .02 worth.

Regards,
John

Example 1. CAI. Dinan wants $500 for aluminum one. Motronix Motorsports has the same setup for $250 US.

Example 2. Hi-flow t-body. Dinan bores it out to 83mm for $599 plus core charge of about $360.

Motronix Motorsports bores it out to 86mm for $350 US. Both are complte units ready to install. New t-body is around $200.

So, either Zebra is 100% right or Dinan is so incompetent that they do not know what they are doing and they R&D is simply grossly ineficient and incompetent. In other words, it does not matter how much you work. Result does.

Personally I think it is a combination of both.

Stepan
