I took delivery of my 2001 540iA a couple of weeks ago and immediately got the 18" M5 wheels put on, along with the M5 spoiler. It looks great but the 275 tires in back rub the fender on certain bumps, especially with passengers in the back. The local BMW guys tell me there is a way to "roll" the fenders, but they don't know where to get the tool. Even the body shop is clueless. No other body shop knows what to do. Does someone have experience with this problem and how to fix it? I would hate to change to skinnier tires but that may be the only way. Thanks, and also if anyone wants my stock 17" mixed parallel spoke wheels, let me know. I live in Houston.
