I am very disappointed that BMW did not import the 5 series wagon with the larger engine. The 528 was slightly underpowered, so what did they do, gave the wagon about 7 hp less in the 525. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy in Germany and import the 530it to the US? What are the necessary conversions? Bumpers? Catalytic converters? I know the VAT would probably eat any savings that could be used for the conversions. Any idea if in 2002 the 530it will be imported. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
