In Reply to: WHERE DO I BUY A 6 CD PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! posted by Frankie Knuckles on December 17, 2000 at 21:17:23:

I never reply to annonymous poster (that's you w/ out posting email address) w/ IP address of AOL (a sign of lack of "nettiquet" ), who shouts (capital letters= shouting, very annouying)...

The answer to your questions has been answered 1,000,000,000.00 times.... You can easily find your answer in the archive search.

Now, the only reason I am replying to your questions is that you obivoiusly "Don't have a clue" and I Pity your ignorance so I am gonna help you out here, so here goes:
......Do I need any adapters for the alpine 6-CD Player?.....

Okay, first thing first, The BMW CD changer is Made by Alpine, we know this because the BMW CD changer looks exactly as the Alpine CD changer. However, you CANNOT goto your local Circuit City and buy a $150 Alpine CD changer and expect it to work w/ the BMW I-BUS (software issue, get it??)
So what you'll need to do is to pay $400 ($375 plus shipping) from an Internet seller such as Steve Diamond at EuroBuyers.com for the BMW I-BUS CD. Okay?? Yes!! its expensive, But what do you expect??

.......Does the Alpine come with the adapter or is there an additional cost?......
If you buy the BMW CD changer, you do not need any adapter.

....Also, does the 6CD changer attach the same way w/the navigation system.......

Okay, if you have the nav, the installation is REALLY easy for the CD. You will need about 5 mins to figure out the directions of things, and the actual installation will be like ... 2 mins.... REALLY easy. The nice thing about having the Nav is that, you don't need to buy an additional bracket for installation of BMW CD...

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other question. For Pete's sake, post your email address next time, (otherwise,) you look and sound just like a Spammer
