Any thoughts/experience would be appreciated.

Car bras are vinyl silt collectors that ruin your car’s finish. Yes, they protect against rock chips, but they also collect grit and moisture between the bra and the hood of your car. When they flutter in the wind, this mixture works much like wet sandpaper, dulling the clearcoat. Unless you are prepared to remove them every day and clean them thoroughly, you would be much better off with 3M Scotchcal/Xpel clear urethane film. Once applied, you can forget about it.
