I'm considering buying a set of used HID light assemblies from a 1999, to install in my 1997 (February 1997 production date) 540. Will these 1997 assemblies plug directly into my harness? Is a "lighting control module" required, and would my 1997 have the right one? If not, what's their cost (ballpark)? I've seen and read reports of various solutions, but I'm not an expert and would appreciate some advice before I buy. Thanks.
