Anyone recommend a car bra for the e-39? BMW bras (nose masks as they call them) going for around $65. Does anyone know who makes these and have any idea about the quality. Had a colgan on my e34 and thought it was pretty reasonable.

Any thoughts/experience would be appreciated.

Regards,

Mark

Car bras are vinyl silt collectors that ruin your car’s finish. Yes, they protect against rock chips, but they also collect grit and moisture between the bra and the hood of your car. When they flutter in the wind, this mixture works much like wet sandpaper, dulling the clearcoat. Unless you are prepared to remove them every day and clean them thoroughly, you would be much better off with 3M Scotchcal/Xpel clear urethane film. Once applied, you can forget about it.
