just like the instructions said. don't get me wrong, it clunks less than it used to, but it didn't totally eliminate it.

what surprised me was how similar the stock shifter on Eric's M roadster feels compared to the UUC-equipped 540/6. it's too bad BMW had to equip the stock 540/6 with the "wet noodle" shifter. the M5 shifter should be standard.


Did you back out the detent screw? I lost most of that "clunk" with the upgrade. For me I was much better. I also got a momo shift knob for xmas and it had a rubber bushing that may have helped remove some of the nochyness.
