I just paid the luxury tax. The CA sales tax was collected when I picked up the car from my local dealer. Again, some have been able to bypass the dealer all together and deal with the DMV directly. But I think this can only be done if you buy the car outright and not finance it.

No transfer fee.

I see you're posting from AZ, there's been talk that euro-deliveries in Arizona do not incur a sales tax. You might want to ask a very experienced arizona dealer about this.
