what do you guys/gals run? Does the 528 need premium fuel, or just the 540/M5?

Doesn't need premium fuel. Will run just great on 88 octane (at least my '99 528ia does - the car does spend all of it's city driving between 5000 and 6500 feet above sea level, though). The car gets good gas mileage, has great power when needed and no pinging.

My wife has actually been driving it with regular lately (86 octane) and while no pinging and no apparent loss of power, mileage has been somewhat affected.
