Too bad the sales asked for
3K over MSRP, and I walked away. I will definitely
do a Euro delivery on 540/6sp from somewhere out
of CA. It would be nice if BMW develops a dynamic
sports suspension that automatically softens when
a pothole is encountered, 'cause the stiff suspension
does transmit everything from the road to the driver.


Too bad about your dealer. I would shop around. I got my 2000 540i/6 for well under MSRP. As for the suspension, personally I thought it was perfect but after driving the car for over a year now I think it's a little soft. Maybe putting on the M5 sway bars would be more to my liking =)
