Yep, same thing happened to me - I fell in love with a '00 540i/6 after a test drive. Dealer wanted sticker - I ended up doing Euro delivery to save maybe $4k. I actually like the suspension set up a lot - it's really a very good compromise between comfort and handling on all but the very worst roads.
