I agree w/ some of your statements on your posts. I feel it does not only apply to Dinan but to all 'tuners'. Dinan just has a working relationship w/ BMW that they can make those claims. Warranties have always been a 'gray' area whether or not you have mods. The dealership can refuse warranty work at their discretion. Perhaps you change your stereo head unit and in a couple of months your NAV doesn't work anymore. The dealership can claim that the stereo swap affected the NAV and we are not going to honor the warranty work because of this 'modification'.
It is not limited to engine performance parts. It could also be to neglect or abuse. It is a 'gamble' we all take when modifying our vehicles, performance or asthetically. The cars are great stock but to many stock does not cut it. It is also a market demand to produce perf. enhancement parts for these cars.
