CD Changer Installation - need advice (archive)

I just bought/received the 6-CD Changer for our new '01 525iT, ordered from Pacific BMW. During the final steps of the otherwise VERY easy installation, you're instructed to mount the bracket that holds the CD unit to the lower bracket using three nuts that screw onto three studs of the lower bracket. The three nuts screw easily by finger until the top of the threaded stud reaches the top of the nut, then they qet quite tight. Upon screwing the nuts on further (its about 3/4 inch to the bottom of the threaded stud), one of the studs twisted RIGHT OFF the bracket (they're welded on). Two out of three studs remain...

Anyone have similar experience with this? Looks like the older model used bolts, not welded studs. Should I drill out the bracket and simply use a bolt, or should I replace the bracket entirely???

Thanks for anyone's advice.

Paul
