Comments on steering wheel are right on, smaller, thicker wheel with sport or s/p package. I initially drove the 2000 models and liked the 528 over the MB, both C & E. The 530 is a driver's car as opposed to luxury transportation. I don't recall the 528 having the "growl" that the 530 has but I love it. While this is my wife's car, I can't wait for the weekend to drive it. We also got the comfort seats and they make a big difference in comfort with my large frame.
