The frame you are describing is p/n 51 71 8 239 538 - Steering Column Support.

However, just after posting this, I spoke with Eric and he came up with a way to avoid replacing this part. His suggestion is to use a Dremel tool to cut away the section of the existing frame piece that interferes with the driver side storage bin. This saves about $100 for the European part and many hours of labor because the center console won't have to come out.

In addition to the earlier list (minus the steering column support), there's also p/n 64 11 8 368 031 - Left Floor Heater Duct.

I'll take lots of photos and publish step by step instructions on the web when I'm done. Eric has offered to drive up to NJ to help. I'm not yet ready to start scheduling Euro Dash clinics, but who knows? If it turns out to be much easier than what you and Eric did (outside in the cold) it could become a popular modification.

Dave Z.
