I went through the same issues: wanted the C based on looks and hype but then I drove it! Had to go to the sports package to get decent handling, had to have auto for 320
hmm- suddenly the 530 seemed a viable option since there was minimal difference in actual price.

Picked up my 530i a few weeks ago and have only great things to say about it. I don't have sport package and like the steering wheel just fine; yes, it does growl some, but very quiet at speed.

A fine car, way above the C for very little more money!
