Ok...as controversial as it sounds, BMW 540i/6 does not have a good resale value. Yes they are rare...Yes they are good cars, but I had a HECK of a problem selling my car. It was 98 Black/Tan 29.5k miles, and I was asking $39.9k in Florida. In three weeks, I did not get a single phone call....The problem is that there are few cars on the market, BUT at the same time there are VERY few buyers in the market looking for such a car.....I traded it in for a Toyota yesterday for $35.5k.
So beware before you buy it. I incurred a $10,000 loss in just ONE year....bought it last Jan for $45k 19.5 miles.
As far as I go, NO MORE BMWs for me for the rest of my life.
Will post my story later on this board for those ppl that haven't yet bought their dream car but are considering one....after my story, you may not want to get your hands on a 540

on a country wide market and marque in general ?
Leaving alone aging population of Florida you could have planned ahead by looking at differences in price ranges acros the country. Hint - large metropolitan areas where there is a large population with moderately young people how know how to drive stick, appreciate fine sedans, can afford them and have no problem with understanding fine intrictae details of the dot.
You are simply an idiotic fool who lost money. It is your fault and there is no reason to blame anyone else but yourself. Now, get the fuck out of my face.
