I have a Karcher pressure washer I picked up from Costco for about $160 and a California water blade for drying it. This works great. I store the Karcher and my hose in the basement, then when the weather warms up enough just for a day to make it possible, I drag everything out and wash the car. The good thing about the Karcher and the water blade is that it makes the job fast, which is important to make it tolerable. Biggest problem is if the temps begin to drop on you and the water starts freezing on the car before you can get it wiped off.
