I am surprised you did not have weight problems. BMW told me you could not replace the normal glass with double glass becaue of the added weight.

I have had double glass for 4 years, and yes, it gives a more quiet car interior. The temperature gets quicker to a normal level (both up or down).

There are no problems with radar detectors (you only replace the sides).

The rear side class can be ordered in tinted version (I have this in my MY2001).
