I had a red SHO for 4 years and never got a ticket. Bought a black 540i and sure enough I got one.

I've plea bargained in NY and NJ. Just go to court and they'll knock it down if you're not a jerk about it.

61 mph on 40 mph zone (Never knew FDR has 40 mph limit).
The problem was I has been suspended (That I didn't know either) in NY because of the fail to pay fine. What happened was I had another ticket last September on I-95 1-2 miles from Manhattan (Going 77 in 55 zone in my RX7) and I paid the fine by credit card. Somehow they got a partial payment and $15 was still outstanding since then. I have been suspended over that $15 and found out the fact today.
Strange thing is how come the officer didn't know that my license is suspended when I got the second ticket? Maybe my license is MA license or driving a different car with different plates?
A thing learned: Never pay ticket with your credit card.

How is the M-5 doing? Was just down at Gallery yesterday and all the folks remembered the imola M-5 as one of the sharpest cars to pass through the place.
Jerry, the parts guy, is an ace on Dinan stuff and is well-equipted to make it even better.
