Hey,

I just built a custom 5 series and 7 series on the german web site.

It turns out they offer (no surprise really) a built in GSM phone based on the Motorola V3690. Cingular (used to be Pacbell, VoiceStream, BellSouth) offers GSM service in the US. Motorola makes a version of V3690 for US frequencies (1900 MHz).

Sprint and Airtouch CDMA coverage and customer service have been less than adequate in San Diego (CPT8000 is a CDMA phone and TDMA is not really an option.)

I would be nice to see this GSM phone offered in the US!!!!

BMW NA should give us more options!

Carlos
