"click" sound when opening door (archive)

My door makes a "click" sound when opening, approximately at the point where the door is 3/4 open. I took it to the dealership (Chris BMW, Atlatna), and when I picked it up the click was gone. The next day, however, it returned. The paperwork from the dealership said they removed the boot on the door brake and tightend the screws. I took both boots off (the one on the door and one wheree the brake attaches to the car) but didn't see any screws.

Any advice?

Can I do something myself to stop the clicking?
