After test driving numerous 97 through 00 E39s, I think the quality is better than ever. Of course, the used vs. less used issue confounds my view. I have had only one brake light go out, seat memory fixed and a small creak in 12 months. All fixed under warranty with excellent service. I think that our standards are so high, since we truly love our cars.
