I HAVE FINALLY TAKEN MY 528I (BLACK-DIAMOND) TO THE DOCTOR" MY FRIEND IS A "BMW TECIII AND WORKS FOR CENTURY BMW DLR." AND HE LOOKED AT IT AND EXIMED, THE ASC'UNIT AND THE STEEL CABLE THAT ROUTES FROM THE UNIT TO THE THROTLE HOUSING WAS COMPLETLY,THORN AND WAS VERLY HANGING BY A HAIR THREATH, A $15 PART HAD TO BE REPLACE` GOT LUCKY! NOW MUST WAIT TILL MONDAY TO GET PART. THE ASC-UNIT APPERANTLY IS FINE.WILL SEE HE SAID THAT ALL THERE IS TO IT THE "TENTIOMETER CORD"
