After TWO sets of Dunlop SP2000's in 22000 miles and lots of research (esp. Tirerack) I switched to Firestone Firehawk SZ50EP's. They are rated excellent for grip and noise and have a tread wear # of 340! I almost couldn't believe the praise people gave these tires but couldn't find any down side. Just had 'em installed today so I'll give an update after a few miles (as long as the tread stays attached).
