First off, Jimmy isn't full of it, and if I hadn't been there I would have a tuff time believing it as well. Jimmy and I pulled up to a light on Westlake (next to a yellow Diablo). JImmy and I wanted to race the Italian, but he like so many exotic car owners refused to even acknowledge our existence. The light turned green and out of no where a black TT pulled up next to us. Jimmy hit it and so did the TT. Now I know for sure the TT had less then 200 miles on it, and the smell coming from his car confirms it. He obviously mis-shifted into 2nd and Jimmy and I were gone. At 130 he was about 4 car lengths behind. A stop sign approached fast. I was hoping both cars would stop so that we could se just how fast the SC540i was. Jimmy came to a rolling stop and the TT slowed down, but it was obvious that he was going to blow the stop sign. So Jimmy punched it. We took off like a bat out of hell and the TT was way behind us again. We both slowed and we asked if he would pull over. The driver was just shocked adn to be honest so was I. ALl he kept asking is what it was and what was in it. I think he was pissed that his 100K Pcar got slammed, but who wouldn't? In any case, Jimmy's car is by far the fastest car I have ever driven or been in. Yes, he let me drive it and I just can't beleive how fast it really is. The SC adds more then I ever thought. I am a beleiver, but hey I was there. Remember the slush box has a huge advantage over a manual, especially when the other guy blows a gear, but all is fair in racing.That is the way I saw it, and it was only 4:00 (540eter I had about 20 mins:) ) Jimmy I had a blast thanks for everything and I'll see you soon.
