A Dinan 540i (archive)

Exactly 2 months ago, I took my 98 540i/6 to a dealer to see how much he would give me for it. $32.5k for 30k miles. He had a silver 99 540i/6 parked and was asking $43.9k.

Yesterday, almost two months into my RAV4 ownership, I saw that the poor car was still on his lot. So couldn't resist pulling over and take a look. O well---he had TONS of Dinan installed on it. There were about 6 bulleted items---I didn't pay any attention to what Dinan equipment there was but there was a lot. Basically Dinan everthing I guess. He is now asking $42.7k.

I am sure he cannot sell this car anytime soon. The market in Tampa is already low----let alone a modified 540i/6. I am sure he could cut a deal to someone around $37-38k. This is a lesson to some Dinan fans---yes the performance is improved, other benefits, blah blah blah, but when it comes to selling your car, you won't be able to find any buyers for it.
