Extended warranty on top of CPO? (archive)

My 540 will be out of factory warranty in a few months. The CPO will cut in, but is not bumper-to-bumper coverage. Has anyone bought an extended warranty on top of the CPO or is this just a waste of money? Are there any extended warranties with better coverage than the CPO anyway?
