BMW got back to me today. at least 5k per seat to get comfort seats installed. No freaking way. i am going to trade the car this week and see if I can come up with a similar one with comfort seats . Pain in the ass but I am not keeping a 40k car that kills my back.

Love my used 528. it's a 2000 with only 5500 miles on it now.

I have one HUGE problem. The seats suck. WHen I test drove the car they seemed fine but I am often in the car for an hour plus at a time and they are killing my back. I drove a friends 540 today (wow what a car) and he has comfort seats. I loved them. I have to get them.

I want to see if I can order comfort seats for my car. I see 3 problems.

1. They don't make the 528 anymore. Are the 530 seats the same?

2. Can I order seats and have them installed? I would think so. I have sand interior so they may be tough to get.

3. This has to be a nightmare in terms of cost. Has anyone ever changed out seats after they bought the car??? Can it be done? Is so, what is the cost?

My last option is getting rid of the car and getting a new one but that is a last resort. This car is perfect for me except these damn seats. Help!!!!
