Even though I have a garage, my car spends a lot of time in the street. Now that spring is here, there's all manner of junk collecting in various nooks and crannies around the inside air intake, the trunk channel, etc., etc. It wouldn't be too hard to design a car to make things a little easier to stay clean. For example, there should be a screen around the air intake instead of a channel. Better yet, how about a screen directly at the rear of the hood? Likewise, the trunk inner lip could be smoothed with no corner crevices and the trunk damper mount could be faired into the body. I spent ten minutes removing small leaves and twigs from behind that mount. And spring's not bad enough, what about fall when the falling leaves pile up several inches in depth around the windshield wipers? How about design for the real world?
