I look for stand alone car washes versus car washes that are in back of a gas station.

I prefer the touchless washes, but they don't get all the dirt off, since they're just an automated power washer.

I use car washes about once a week, then I hand wash the car about once a month (in the summer).

In the winter, I use car washes about once every two to three weeks, then get my car detailed in spring.

No problem with scratches, but I don't let people hand dry my car. I would rather live with a few spots, than scratches.
