yes the experience of the doctor counts, but keep in mind that the machine and the software in it are just as important, if not more so. Study up on the few types of machines that are in use (Visx, Nidek, Chiron, etc.) and also find out what software release is in the machine that your doctor is using. There are lots of older machines out there using old software - make sure your doc is using the latest release on his machine. This makes more of a difference than the experience the doc has. Afterall, the procedure is relativley simple - the machine does all of the important work, not the doctor.
