what software version is being utilized. They will be happy to share that data with you (if they don't, run away). Take that info and log onto the manufacturer's website to determine what their latest release is. The attached website is pretty good for hunting down information.

As an aside, when I was looking into getting lasik the first places I went to offered a $600/eye procedure, and a $900/eye procedure. The difference between the two? The cheaper was on an older machine and the other was on a newer, more updated machine. Be careful, and do your homework before you have the procedure done.
