Yes, it comes on each time you stop (or get below 3 Km/Hr or so). It (video) goes off as soon as you start moving again - you can still listen to the audio at this point.

I can't explain why it fascinates me so much except that I must be a geek.

Also, your delving into the network bus also gets me going! Tell us more!!!

:+)

hmmm... i don't even have the TV module, so i wouldn't have a clue. i bought a copy of the upgrade instructions from SVTWEB, hoping to learn more about the wiring of the nav and video system, but I was disappointed that it wasn't at all technical. that's not a diss to SVTWEB, because he never promised that information. he just tells you what factory harness to buy, how to modify it and plug everything together. but, divining how to disable the safety feature from the information contained in his instructions is impossible.

one thing that might help... does anyone have a non-modified wiring harness available? if someone could photograph it, trace the wires between all of the connectors, and draw a diagram, that would be quite helpful! (and don't charge me for seeing the info!)

btw, how useful is the TV to you guys? does it come on when you're at red lights? or does the engine have to be off? i guess you'd say that it would be more useful if you could watch it while driving ;-)

another fun project that would be enabled by understanding the IBus is a 3rd party cell phone interface box.

...done the TV/NAV upgrade?

We wish to disable the "disabling of TV video" when the car is in motion.

Thanks,

Chris
