I have a CPT6000 installed in my 97 528i with DSP no Nav. It works great and I love the voice recognition integration however I have 2 problems.

1. When I use the memory to store new numbers into the phone, It doesn't sync those numbers with the display in the car. I have been entering them outside the car and then hooking the phone into the jack and its cradle in the car. I can scroll through the 9 or 10 old numbers with the buttons on the wheel but all then news I entered aren't shown. What's up?

2. Also.... Am I limited to only 10 number to use the voice recognition? Thats all it seems to take.

Any advice would be greatly apprecitated!

1) If you update your names & numbers in portable mode youmust then do an "manual update"
Connect phone to vehicle - press FCN, 0, 9, 0, STO
don't touch anything on phone or radio until you see on handset "DONE" -this could take as long as 5 minutes depending on how many numbers you have in memory.

2) Voice activation umbers can only be placed in memory positions 80-99. The CPT 6000 portable has 20 positions available for voice activation. The CMT 3000 and CMT 5000 installed phones only had 10 numbers.

Anyone with CPT 8000 disregard above - does not apply to your phone
