in '99 528 2 days ago. Throw is tight and crisp but is more notchy than I expected. I included the cartridge bearing thinking this would make for smoother shifts than standard Delran bushings. Does "notchiness" decrease with time, or is it the tradeoff for changing pivot point.
I replaced stock knob with smaller, all leather Momo. Looks and feels great but there is not a lot of mass to the knob -could be part of the problem.

had uuc shifter on my 2001 540 and at first liked the positive feel of shifting and of course the shorter throws but after a month i decided it was too notchy and too noisy so i switched back to the factory shifter and i am happy overall with factory shifter.
