I test drove the SLK320 and CL55.
CL55 is sweet. The car handles great, there is almost no body roll. Handling is sharp and tight. The overall package is just amazing. The car is so quiet and luxury inside. Too bad I can't afford one. But I am impressed.
SLK320- my wife and i were looking to buy a conv. for the summer. And on top of the list is SLK230. Overall, the car feels solid, however, the steering feel is a little bit to light for my taste. Also, MB's 6 speed manual is slightly hard to engage not as smooth as japanese manual.
A side note. After test driving the SLK at the MB power trip event. My wife and I decided to buy SLK 230. So went to the dealer (fremont) try to finish the deal today. I guess my family is dressed a bit too poor and did not drive a nice enough car to be served (trading in 00 Acura TL). We stood around the showroom floor for more than 20 minutes, no one bothered to even introduce him/herself to us. Tired of waiting, i asked receptionist to find us a salesman. She did not even bother to look up and simply told me to sit down and wait (she was busy chatting on the phone). After another 5 minutes, still no one to assist us, we left.
The experience of MB powertrip was great. But their dealer in bay area is just simply poor.
