My new-to-me '98 528i didn't come with the radio code cards. I'm assuming one of two things:

1. former owner kept them
2. the design of the E39 radio is so unique that BMW gave up on the code protection (hard to imagine the E39 radio in a Honda..)

Anyone? I'd like to check the level in the last cell on the battery (all the others were about 1/4" low) - but that requires removing the + lead, so it's find the code or get a memory retainer.. or?

TIA!

No code on E39 radios - will not work in another car - needs compatible software.

Cheers
Jim Cash
