I've driven a 528i sport 5 speed, 525 (manual and auto) a 328i, 323i, and a 330ci. For some reason, the low speed steering was underassisted baddly in the 530i SP only. All the other cars (except 330i.. way overboosted) were nice and firm, but didn't require Popeye arms to steer at low speed. The 530i was so bad that I wasn't sure if I'd have serious problems steering and operating a manual tranny at the same time (drove steptronic).

Come on BMW. You had this right before. Now steering is all over the map. Too light in one car, too heavy in the next.
