My current magic formula:

Car Wash (preserve wax): P21S Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo
Car Wash (re-wax): Dawn dishwashing detergent. Strips off old wax.
Wax: One Grand Blitz Wax (seems best value)
Polishes & Cleaners: Too numerous to mention
Vinyl & Dashboard: Vinylex
Wood: Murphy's Oil Soap followed by Blitz Wax
Leather: Lexol cleaner and Lexol conditioner
Wheels: P21S High Performance Wheel Cleaner
Door Seals: Zymol Seal
Tires: McGuires Endurance High Gloss
Exterior Black Trim: Black Again
Windows: Exterior - alcohol based cleaner. Interior - Water and a few drops of dish soap for tinted windows
Carpet & Headliner: Blue Coral Carpet Cleaner
Smells: Febreeze

I have yet to see anyone write anything negative about the advice on carcareonline
