under warranty, because it was peeling around the top of the wheel. Looks great. Only bummer was that after replacement I got a horrendous scraping noise when I turned the wheel (might the tech not have noticed this during his Q.C.?). Further inspection revealed that some form of plastic ring behind the wheel was moving around while I turned. I pushed it in one direction with a pocket screwdriver and it clicked into place. No more noise. Thank God, too, because I've been at the dealer far too much lately.
I've seen others here complain about a scraping noise in the area of the steering wheel, so I though I'd post my resolution to maybe save some of the techinically inclined boardees a trip to the dealer.
