Don't like the monthly fee. It is basically a lease at a more granular level. What's next; a monthly fee for enabling vanos? I can just see the salespersons now "..and for just $12 a month you can have vanos plus we have a special summer sale right now where we are waiving the $200 activation fee and the first month is free!"

Would prefer BMW build the expected revenues into the purchase price of the unit like they do for other options. Otherwise, they will only open themselves up to the kind of pirating that goes on with satellite TV.
