Mass used to be a one plate state, so those cars originally issued one plate only have to display one plate. It's been a 2 plate state for maybe 8-10 years now (just guessing) so if you've been issued 2 plates, you need to have them both on your car.

Still quite a few cars with one plate issued though, so cops aren't really looking for those of us who were issued 2 plates but only have one on the car.

Well, I guess it's time to abide by the law. The state of Illinois is really cracking down on minimal driving offenses, tint, front plates, etc.
So, I'm driving tonight, see an officer of the law, so I'm being very careful (as I always am), he passes me and whips a shitty and pulls me over. My immediate response is to get mad... stupid me, he's doing his job.
Make a long story short, front plate goes back on both cars tomorrow. Why can't IL realize the $ to be saved by eliminating half of all the plates in the state? Whatever.
The real bummer is I just bought the replacement strip to remove the bracket on the E39.
Rick
too many warnings, front plates tomorrow.
