I have a new 530 and after one week the steering wheel is starting to squeek more and more. The car book says nothing about power steering fluid and no power steering recepticle marked under hood. Is this a case of a little WD-40 will do the trick, or do I need to take it in to have it checked?

Many new 5 series cars do this. The squeak is caused by rubbing of the steering column as it passes through the firewall. The dealer needs to lubricate the bushing with a silicone-containing product. It should take about 10 minutes. No need to do it yourself.
