Okay, granted, 160+ is pushing the safety envelope to the max on non track roads but anyone who has driven in Germany or Italy knows that folks there routinely drive at 110-130+ mph speeds on the "super highways" in vehicles designed to do so i.e BMW,Porsche, Mercedes,Ferrari etc. They seem to have less traffic fatalaties than USA...largely because people there take driving seriously (cupholders a pure American thing)and tend to kmow the limits of their vehicles more than USA drivers. A big portion of the safety factor in USA regarding "high speed" driving is of aour own making.....poor drivers not attentive to the task at hand, ridiculous speed limits, SUVs etc. Sorry for long post ...just got me going.
