V8 has the HP/Torque but recirc. ball steering and is heavier and not so comfy to whip around corners.

I6 has rack/pinion and is lighter and therefore a tad more tossable around corners but certainly lacks V8 punch.

My guess is that you will miss the power of the V8 with an I6 but both cars are great in their own ways...it is just a matter of synch'ing up what you like with the correct car that feeds those desires.
