You may want to try holding it down LONGER... don't know if it'll work or not...

I originally had a problem trying to clear the codes on the Garage Door Opener... it seemed simple... just press and hold down the two outer buttons until LED flashes... I must've tried it 5 times, but it wouldn't work.... Then, I tried holding down the buttons for an INSANELY long time and it finally worked. In the end, I needed more "patience"... ;-)
